CAROLINE HOYT

Raised on the White Mountain Apache Reservation in Whiteriver, Arizona, Caroline's work is rooted in oral histories and visual storytelling as tools to bridge people across time and place. Stories related to food and environment are her primary focus, revealing how health, wealth, and culture intersect. Beyond reporting, Caroline works for the Meantime Coffee Company, UNC's only student-run coffee shop, as a barista and chief marketing officer.
